Colorado United

Fall 2023 Friday Night Finishing

United’s Friday Night Training is available for 2015 -2009 players, this program is integral for the development of the player that wants more from the game of soccer. Mirrored on the clubs Rec Plus Program U9 & U10 program, the training is technically focused with the aim of maximizing touches on the soccer ball.

The Program will consist of finishing technical training, building confidence with the ball, finishing in different game scenarios, and applying it in small-sided games. We focus on ball striking and shooting off a dribble, pass, cross, or combination. Additionally, recognition of scoring opportunities through a wide variety of shooting activities that are designed to create realistic game situations. This should provide hundreds of opportunities to score goals and help develop the goal scorer.

The primary goal is to get the players playing, competing, making decisions, and improving their technical and finishing ability while having fun! The program will be managed by Felipe Quiroga, Rec Plus Director of Coaching, and Michael Posen, Recreational Director of Coaching. This provides each individual a better balance of challenge and success.

The training is conducted by United’s staff trainers under the guidance of Felipe Quiroga (Rec Plus Program Director) and Michael Posen (Recreational Program Director). The club will monitor the development of the players to help assist with player placement for future teams and programs. Players interested in this program should have ambition and love for the game of soccer and desire to play in the Rec Plus or COPA program.
