Lucy Harris Colorado Cup Fundraiser
The Colorado Cup will serve as a fundraiser for Lucy Harris, a cherished member of our community and our 2013G Rec Plus team. Lucy was paralyzed from the waist down after her family car was rear-ended July 15 while stopped in the westbound lanes of the interstate near Genesee. She suffered multiple severe injuries in addition to her spinal cord being severed. Lucy and her family are adjusting to life now that she is no longer in the hospital. In addition to the family being displaced from their home while they wait for the renovations to be made to make their home accessible, they are unable to work at full capacity to support Lucy’s medical needs and appointments. The family continues to need help to make this difficult transition into a new way of life as smooth as possible. Please, help if you can, no donation is too small at a time like this. 2024 COLORADO CUP
Welcome to the Colorado Cup, this tournament is the only dedicated 7v7 tournament in Colorado. It is the primary pre-season tournament for U9 & U10 teams offering good competition through the participation of multiple clubs. For the U8 age group, we will also be hosting a 5 v 5 division. The majority of teams play Intermediate soccer through CSA; however, there are different brackets to accommodate teams of all abilities.
Dates: March 1 - March 3, 2024
(*Fri, March 1st backup day for weather)
Format: 5v5, 7v7
Location: Littleton, CO
Games: Minimum of 3
Price: U8 - $450 | U9/U10 - $550
Registration Deadline: February, 2nd
*Register early, the tournament fills up before the registration deadline.
DIVISION SETUP
4 Team Divisions: Each team will play the other. The teams finishing in 1st and 2nd place will play against each other in the final.
6 Team Divisions: Flights will consist of two groups of three teams. Each team will play the other two teams in their own bracket, the top two teams from each bracket will advance to a semi-final and the two 3rd place teams will play a consolation match. The winners of the semi-final matches will play against each other in the final.
8 Team Divisions: Flights will consist of two groups of four teams. Each team will play the other teams in its group for a total of three matches. The group winners will then play in the final.

Children’s Hospital Colorado Sports Medicine Center’s partners with Colorado United as the main medical provider for the 2024 Colorado Cup. My name is Evan Gumpert and I am the certified athletic trainer for Colorado United. Myself and 3 other athletic trainers will be onsite this weekend to provide expert medical care to all our athletes across both locations. Look for the branded Children’s Colorado medical tent if your athlete needs medical attention. See you on the field!
