Colorado United

I became the new Executive Director of Colorado United on June 1, 2023. I have a long history in youth soccer at all levels of the game in the Midwest, the Northeast, and in my native Denmark. I have head-coached youth, high school, State ODP, Region II ODP, National ODP, college, and semi-pro programs, as well as coached & scouted with the U.S. girl's national teams. I ran the U.S. Soccer National Training Center for Illinois & Wisconsin in 2016 & 2017. In addition to my coaching background, I have served as Academy Director, Director of Coaching, Head of Coaching, and Executive Director at four elite youth soccer clubs. I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Marketing and Master's in International Economics. I live in Centennial with my trusted sidekick Belo who is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound rescue.

My role is directly responsible for the administration of the club, supporting all areas: Lollipops, Recreation, Academy, Copa Academy, Competitive, Camps, field use, risk management, staffing, etc…

I started as a Team Mom in 1989 for my oldest son’s U10B team, joining the Bomber Board of Directors in 1990, transitioning to the Littleton United Board of Directors after the merger in 1991, and moving onto the Littleton Soccer Club Board of Directors after the merger in 1998. During this time my volunteer role on the Board was VP of Administration, which evolved into being hired by the BOD as the General Manager in 1999. My long term commitment to the program is based on the club’s role in “Developing Players for Life.” The children not only learn soccer skills as a youth player, but life lessons that will serve them well as they move through each phase of life.

As Controller I oversee the accounting and financial aspects of the club and enjoy being part of the organization. My connection with the Colorado United has been for over 20 years with both my boys playing for the club and I have coached with the organization over that period of time.

Originally heralding from England I am a Derby County supporter and have visited over 30 grounds in England watching the mighty Rams play.  Away from work I enjoy hanging out with my wife, two sons and family dog Billy while hiking the Colorado trails

I am the Head of Coaching-Competitive.  I work alongside our Competitive Directors of Coaching to ensure we provide the best soccer opportunities for our players and coaches to help develop their skills, passion and love for the game of soccer. I am very fortunate that soccer has provided me with the opportunity to work within the sport that I love.

I have held various roles in my 19 years with Colorado United. My love for soccer stems from my childhood growing up in Wales, UK. I am “still” a passionate Manchester United fan!

When I am not out and about on the soccer fields I enjoy spending family time with my wife, Ruth and 3 children Sam, Nia and Rhiana. We enjoy hanging out, hiking, camping, socializing, golfing and travelling.

I am the Colorado United U11-19 Girls Program Director (CPD)and Co-Director of our TOPSoccer Program (special needs program).

This is my second time with Colorado United. The first time with the club I was a Competitive Director where I coached a back-to-back State Cup winning team. Between my times with the club I was the Recreational Director for Pride Soccer in Colorado Springs. For the past 8 years I have been the Recreational Director and, most recently, the Recreational Technical Director.

I try my best to pass on my love of soccer to the kids I work with whilst attempting to give them the tools to reach their full potential in the game. I want players to leave my training sessions excited and smiling whilst also feeling challenged.

When not on the field I love to spend time with my family (Wife Jill and kids, McKenna and Keegan). McKenna coaches in our U4/5 lollipop program and Keegan plays competitive soccer with us after playing rec since U4. Everyone in the family helps with our TOPS program.  We love being active and spending time in the mountains. I am a huge fan of Rangers Football Club in Glasgow, Scotland. Due to time differences I am often up at 5am in the morning watching their games.

After HS I went on to play D1 at Drake University. Go Bulldogs!!

Being the Colorado Native that I am, when I am not working, I enjoy creating wonderful food and I love being outdoors with my dog Evans and boyfriend Kyle.
