Evaluation process for players wishing to play competitive soccer. For some age groups, these are for all players and some are just for "NEW" players to Colorado United’s Competitive and Academy program.
Open Kick Arounds:
Training opportunities are available for players interested in exploring competitive soccer. Typically for new players to Colorado United and current recreational players wishing to explore competitive soccer.
ID Days:
Evaluation process for players wishing to play on a U13 - U19 team in one of our National Platforms. This includes teams participating in the Girls Academy, MLS Next II, DPL [National Platform], and the Elite Academy.
Birth Year Identification
All players will be identified within their respective age group, defined by their Birth Year.
Example - ALL 2015 players are all players born in 2015.

** Platinum - Team Designation by Colorado United Staff that is comparable to another level of team
Copa:
The Copa program is designed for our U8 - U10 players who desire top-level training. Copa is for our most dedicated players focused on improving, who want to be around like-minded players for the best training & development environment.
RETURNING PLAYER: A Player is someone who …
… played with Colorado United on the Girls Academy or Elite Academy teams for the 24/25 season.
… played with Colorado United on the Pre-GA or Pre-EA teams for the 24/25 season.
… played with Colorado United in the Academy Program for the 24/25 season.
… played with Colorado United in the Competitive Program for the 24/25 season.
… played with Colorado United in the COPA Program for the 24/25 season.
NEW PLAYER:
Players who played with the Colorado United Rec or Rec+ Program for the 24/25 season.
Players who played with a different club for the 24/25 season [In or Out of State].
Did not play the 24/25 season.
Competitive:
Colorado United uses this term for all other teams outside the Academy level (EA/GA, Academy Blue, etc.). The number of teams at this level typically ranges from 3 to as many as 8, depending on the age group. This program includes players who are excited and committed to developing their abilities but also balance other activities. Player pathways are in place for all players.
Colorado Soccer Association:
Colorado Soccer Association (CSA) is the State Association governing the non-national platform soccer in Colorado.
CSA U15 Secondary League:
CSA offers a league for U15 players who cannot or choose not to play for their high school during the respective season.
